May 24, 201016 yr Quick questions Travelling to Bangkok on the 9th June has anyone stayed at the ON8 Hotel, Soi 6, Sukhumvit? Any info or alternative recommendations would be great. I've looked at several websites, Sawadee, Asia Rooms etc, but ideally what I want are recommendations from experience, budget 5 days 250$ Cheers
May 25, 201016 yr I walk past this hotel which is right on Sukhumvit road at the steps of the BTS. Besides that traffic, next door they are knocking down a dinosaur of a unfinished building and the noise is unbearable from 8am to 5pm daily - if that's a concern. I imagine hotels around the corner on Soi will hear this noise as well. If you are keen on this area, maybe try looking up hotels on Suk Soi 11 which is on the other side from Soi 8.
May 25, 201016 yr Author James, typical the rooms look great and it won an award for being a quiet hotel even though it's smack bang in the midlle of everything. The reviews todate are excellent for the money. Is the work alomost finished on the building next door? We will be arriving on the 10th June so hopefully the major work will be finished. Suppose we can always move out after one night if the noise is that bad. Cheers

Cheers The thing about the construction is noway it will be finished by then. However, I point out that from what I see they start at 8am and finish at 5pm or a little earlier. Not sure about the weekends. If you are out during this time, it wont be an issue. But if you have a hangover, I could not imagine a worse place to be.
