Thai Government Planning

Of course they have their fingers/toes crossed. It takes a little while to do a feasibility study to determine if a certain senior politician can make more money by

1) starting up a water supply company, or

2) receiving "incentives" from established companies looking for gov. contracts.

Once those studies are complete, it then goes to a comittee, who will meet to set a date to meet again to discuss the agenda of another meeting, at which they will decide on another date to be held later on the matter at hand, what ever that was, but hey, it's an excuse for a taxpayer funded holiday, preferably somewhere where there's already lots of water, and they won't be interupted by annoying home and business owners complaining about things like the lack of water.

So, 2-3 years down the road, somebody will meet somewhere to discuss something. They will then realize that they have to have another meeting, to find out why they are meeting in the first place.

In the meantime, it might rain and erase any reason for the meetings, in which case, they will have another meeting to determine what the next meeting should be about.

(hint: buy stock in Bottled Water companies, and companies that deliver water) :o

Yes we had that problem before Songkran, the water in the lake was so low that the salt level was very high. :o

For about 3 months there has been no water in the lake so we have to ship in water from Korat.

I live near NoneThai which has some of the best Salt Water in Thailand. Some of my brother-in-laws have a business shipping it all over Thailand for use in things like fish sauce, beer, soft drinks etc. :D
