Last year I worked some month in Germany, later moved to Thailand. I expect a high tax refund because I paid too much in advance in Germany. So, I made my tax return in Germany but now they want the confirmation of the tax office in Thailand that I never paid tax here.

Anyone went through this already?

I just want to know now where the tax office in Bangkok is.... and I hope they will confirm the English form I have.

Forgot to tell: it is the personal income tax

the form from Germany is called: Non-EU/EEA Certificate of the foreign tax authority to the income tax return

No idea where to go in Bangkok.

The place you need to go is called the "District Tax Office".

Separate offices for each district, so it depends on what district you live in.

For example, in the lower Sukhumvit area south of Sukhumvit Road the office is in the Times Square Building (near BTS Asoke). On the other side of Sukhumvit the office is somewhere aon Sukkhumvit 11 or 13, I forget exactly where.

So where are you ?

Too bad... they wont confirm that I never paid tax in Thailand last year.

I was told to apply for a tax identification number and to make the tax declaration here in Thailand.

Really dont understand this because I paid only taxes in Germany and made the tax declaration there already.

Seems that I will never get my tax refund...

Any advices for me?
