There's lots of gold and silver for sale everywhere. Has anyone used a reliable, easy to apply test to determine the authenticity of gold and/or silver. Something relatively simple rather than carrying a chemistry set around or having to use a dangerous substance, i.e. nitric acid. It's probably not a safe assumption that being stamped '925' means that it is. are hallmarks required on Thai gold?
