I suppose they were wrong,it did happen, the thread above contains details.

Yes they are Big C, I took the picture . You should see the rest of the outfit.

In Khao Lak, as soon as the England match finished last night/this morning, there was a procession of Thais and Burmese leaving the beach area where we were watching the footie. We just assumed they had all been watching it somewhere or a big party had been going on and we weren't invitedsad.gif, but then it dawned what I'd been hearing and laughing off for 2 weeks or so, a tsunami was coming.

We only live 400m from the beach so we quickly shot home, got some peanuts, beer, wine and chocolate, and of course the dog, sat upstairs watching the reports come in. Earthquakes can't be predicted, so there must be something very mysterious in the air! We're just waiting for later when we again meet up with our Thai friends who will gloat in the fact that they told us there would be natural disaster in the area yesterday!!!

it is thai supersticon. or what i call paranoia. when the last tsuami hit. there was a cross of 2 stars inn the sky. the same thing happened a ew days ago. so they thought that the same thing would happen again. though there are allot of natural disaters in samui islands other that tsunami's like land slides, electrution, heaving flooding cause bridges to callaspes. Maybe the training can help for natural distars. it is all about the hospitals and emegerncy teams being over run and un organized. if every thinng is re=-hurst then it might help future disasters. not sure i it will hekp my spelling though
