British paedophile Gary Robcoy kicked out of Thailand

A British teacher last night became the first convicted paedophile to be deported from Thailand in a crackdown on foreign perverts. Gary Robcoy, 30, was kicked out and blacklisted because of a conviction for child abuse in Britain. He had not been found guilty of any offences in Thailand.

Robcoy, from Wapping, East London, was arrested at Potisarn Pittayakorn school in Bangkok, where he worked as a computer science and English teacher. He was put on a British Airways flight to London.

He is the first to be kicked out in a drive by the Thai government which has been liaising with UK agencies.

An immigration official said: "This is a new initiative. Thailand should not put its children at risk by allowing these people to come to our country.".

Good to see united action at last by the authorities of the countries concerned.I speak as both a parent and a teacher.

It was interesting to note if one searched for Potisarn Pittayakorn School there were a number of results including'' Facebook.''

When will people and school administrators realise that'' Facebook'' is probably the most wonderful way for a kiddy fiddler to surf the net in search of victims, either as a teacher trying to get a position at the school or as a child stalker intent upon snaring innocent unsuspecting child victims ?

I feel that we should also be aware of the dangers posed by Hi-Five and My Space regarding kiddy fiddlers searching for victims.

We should take steps to ensure both students, their parents and the school are aware of the dangers posed by the unknowing users of the social contact sites in general .

The Thai government says it will now deport all foreigners discovered to have committed sexual offences against children.

A spokesman for the Royal Thai Police Immigration department:” This is a new initiative. Thailand should not put its children at risk by allowing these people to come to Thailand ”.

Indeed this is excellent news, hopefully the British system will prevent him from obtaining a new passport in another name.
