Seh Daeng's Daughter: I Willl Lead Dad's Political Party

I meant government response, not a few speakers in the EU parliament.

Western governments know full well Thaksin's evil. The Americans even warned the Thai government before the violence broke about about possible sabotage and terrorism.

Which western government welcomes Thaksin apart from Montenegro?!

Apologies for being off topic.

The 'Americans' warned the Thai government? where did you hear something like that?

Suthep mentioned it back in early March.

@rabo

i am not denying that it happen, the question is: who did it? your sources don't indicate that there is any evidence that it came from the red shirts.

have you listened to the red shirts leaders speeches on stage?

Nattawut told the crowd to burn everything and he would take responsibility.

Arisaman told Khon Kaen to come to Bangkok with a bottle of petrol.

Jatupon said the red shirts would panic if the army cracked down and they would loot everything( a feeble attempt of a joke}

Even Weera threatened violence.

Their own words condemn them.

What in her background qualifies her to head a political party?????? She's 29 years old, she's barely out of school. Get some real experience first before setting yourself up as the head of a political party.............................

Sure..........

When did the current PM enter politics and how old was he ???

Am I correct in thinking 27 ?

ph

Entering politics at an early age is no problem. Setting yourself up as head of a political party at that age seems less wise.

Figure head is more on the mark.

Logic, motive, opportunity and profit or benefit point their fingers of fate

in one direction predominantly.

Not all observable facts in this world are specifically ajudicated in courts.

Nor need they be to be properly understood for what they are.

Be interesting if she can draw the discontented elements together, would mean Abhisit would really genuinely have to work at his roadmap.....................could be a good move for the country.

She keeps her job as lawyer, Abhisit never did anything else than to works at the Democrats head office, a 'job' his daddy arranged for him.

It is probably not her goal to become PM. but after the small and independent very personalist Khattiya(ขัตติยะ) Dharma Party lost its leader Maj Gen Khattiya(ขัตติยะ) , why should not his only daughter Khattiyaa(ขัตติยา) lead the Khattiya(ขัตติยะ) Dharma Party, which will be still a very personalist small and independent party.

Seh Daeng's mission was not to gain power and become the ruler, but to be somekind of 'watchdog' who keep a sharp eye on the powers that be.

Seh Daeng appeared on the scene as Thaksin's agent to block the red leaders from concluding a deal with the government. The red leaders lost a lot of face as a result of that. Seh Daeng was shot shortly after.

What Thaksin will have learned from the affair is that having another party to twin-track his objectives would be useful. Also having a newbie to play the reds are innocents card is another nice tool in the toolbox.

Yes her biggest problem is the idiots who try to undermine her entry into politics by linking her with the fugitive. I really hope these blind ignorant people fail in their mission, and she can put pressure on Abhisit to deliver his road map in a genuine timeframe and with the sincerity which can only be good for the unity of Thailand. Hopefully she will bring a breath much needed fresh air into Thai politics, in the face of the rancid, divisive, boring comments, from certain areas, who clearly fear her entry into politics and development. Best wishes to her, she is clearly her own person with ambition and sincerity.

Yes, what perfect sense Yoshi. The local red shirt leaders took out the head of their own security, thus removing the only barrier that the Army was actually scared of. .

Suthep is your source? and you believe that and take it as fact?

and what said Suthep exactly?

That's probably the best post I have seen around here in awhile. 100% agree with that. that said, if she does link herself to Mr. T, all credibility is lost.

It is of course clearly totally impossible, that Thaksin gave orders to take out the big-mouth, who was causing major embarrassment by directly-linking him to the violent-events.

I mean, those guys in black-shirts were all a mysterious third-party, and never shot any red-shirt protesters in the back, to stir things up. Silly me, for foolishly thinking such a thing might be possible, after all Tak-Bai & the 'War on Drugs' deaths never took place either.

As her party has no influence nor MPs it cannot be any force of push in any direction.

And the only ones that would might be interested in joining 'Sae Daengs party' that will un-justly be labeled as will most likely be those that supported the violent path / 'resistance' of the red movement...not a way forward in my book.

Thanks for putting it into perspective. It is a brand new party without a single MP, no executive party members, and a current Party Leader that is under indictment for terrorism.

Unable to find any website, any platform, or a single noteworthy endorsement from anyone... (TV members excepted)

Perhaps you are unfamiliar with just how efficient modern internet search engines are so I'll post the result here:

Search took 0.02 seconds.

but she still admired him as a father.........a very honest and enlightening approach

A daughter admiring her father is hardly a rare event

which you in your attempt to smear appear to have totally missed.

As for smearing the Party, the biggest smear against the Party can simply be found in its founder and what he stood for, more so than how well an unproven and untested novice leading an unproven Party can perform. Still, it will take a lot more than a few brief sentimental sound bites to change that.

btw, the Party was founded, 17 months ago, in February 2009 and has done zip nada since then.

However, we'll see how it does in the next election 19 months from now. Be curious to see if she's still involved then or if this solitary article is the summit of her involvement in politics.

800 police to be deployed at Seh Daeng’s funeral

BANGKOK, 21 June 2010 (NNT) – Four companies of riot-control police will be deployed at the funeral of Army Specialist Major General Khattiya Sawasdipol or Seh Daeng to secure the ceremony while over 10,000 people are expected to attend the rite.

More than 800 officers from the riot-control unit and traffic police will be posted at Seh Daeng’s royal cremation ceremony at Wat Somanat Ratchawora Wihan temple tomorrow to ensure safety. Over 10,000 people including supporters of the anti-government United Front of Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) and his relatives are expected at the ceremony.

Pro-UDD figure Major General Khattiya was shot in the head by a sniper on the evening of 13 May at Sala Daeng Intersection nearby the UDD rally site while giving an interview to foreign media. He suffered from severe brain injury for few days before passing away on the morning of 17 May.

:lol:Delete button works even faster..... but as you go to the trouble of hunting down and loading - not all in 0.02 seconds I can assure you!!!....I did not delete because quite simply there is no denying fact..........or when the party was formed..........and indeed if this will be the pinacle of her political achievement.......:D

And of course the electorate will decide..........so have you nothing original to say?......or was the photo the summit of your achievement?

Lookup the wikipedia page on "Pim Fortuyn List". Interesting how a new party may peak when it's fronthead is assassinated and then simply disintegrate because of lack of policy and internal bickering.
