I have been living in Thailand for the past year and a half on a tourist visa.

However, due to some personal & family reasons I have had to come back to Belgium.

I will however be returning to Thailand next month and I was hoping to obtain a one year non-O visa.

A friend of mine gets one of these every year in the UK without being married, without being retired, ... he just shows a letter from his mother claiming she is responsible for any financial debts he may incur and based on that he is given a non-O for one year...

Is there anyone who has had any experience with this type of visa from any of the Thai consulates in Belgium? (I say consulates because I have picked up in the past that they tend to be more lenient than the actual embassy)...
