on the paperwork i supply as a sponsor,ie. bank statements,is there a time limit on them,by that i mean do they have to be within the last week or month.i know you have to show 6 months worth, but i will be back in thailand in mid august and will be taking all relevant paperwork with me,but as i have to stop of for work for in singapore for 3 weeks beforehand i was wondering if this is ok,as by the time i get to thailand all my statements and wage slips are going to be 3 weeks at least behind.

Obviously the paperwork, especially that relating to finances, should be as up to date as possible. However, I don't see a problem with it being just 3 weeks out of date, especially if you include a brief note saying why this is so in your sponsor's letter.

BTW, I've edited the topic title to include UK.

Can't you download them/print them from the internet? I did that on the day I sent my gf's application.
