Valentine
It depends on the material used for the crown but shop around as some clinics will have a price list on the counter & most should give you a free check & quote.

Bkk hospital has a fantastic rootcanal specialist, but at a cost and of course the dentist mood
gotlost
Cheapest or best because there is a big difference in quality and PAIN.
grumpyoldman
Bangkok Phuket Hospital has a great dental department, not too expensive
keeniau96
I add another big YES for Bangkok Phuket Hospital dental. Dr. Supachai is superb dentist. I had a difficult molar job, which required titanium implant (two of them) and gold crown. I had been going to same dentist for about six years and have had enough dentists in my life to judge a good one. Don't know what the job would have cost in USA other than far more. I did shop around a bit, notably the large dental clinic not far from the hospital, and they were considerably more. You can probably find cheaper but how much is your tooth comfort worth. I had major pain and nuisance before but now I don't even know there is anything other than normal there. Great to chew and grind up some spare ribs etc.
andypandysugarncandy
Thanks guys....I have to say that everything from hair, to botox for headaches, nails, colour etc I have had done in Thailand has beeen fanastic....that was Jan in Bangkok. The root canal and post has been done....no nerves left to feel the pain. I had a temporary crown over the top which has broken. After reading many posts in forums I am going to Dentalsea. They sent me some very lovely emails and the crown starts at 7000 bt. Anyone here had experience with them?
LivinLOS
Sounds like you have made your pick.. I personally wouldnt recommend it, as I know someone reported it not being pain free, but Patong hospital as a government hospital is a fraction of the price of private dentists.. You did say cheapest !!
ScubaBuddha
^ Agreed. I have checked prices at a few area clinics and hospitals and Patong Hospital is by far the cheapest I had found. For example, a cleaning can be 800B at a private clinic. PH it is 200B. However, I am not sure dental work is something I want going to the lowest bidder. But if you don't have the dosh, it'll suffice.

I was in there for bandage changes a couple years back when I had had a motorbike accident, the room I was in had blood on the floors, just overall sort of nasty conditions.
