Hi All, Happily in Country in the Dry North Kantharawichai Area and have my Non O Multi in hand , now starting to worry about the 90 day stamp and a little miffed as i have heard and read 2 different stories 1 is you must exit and re-enter via the usual border or airport to get stamped 2 is you can simply front at the closest immigration office and have your visa stamped to get another 90 days . Sorry if this is painfully obvious but with rule changes and so many threads and posts its hard to be sure whats the correct path to prepare for . Also if any Ex Pats / Farang in the Area near to Sri Suk want to get together PM me ! Cheers

On a multiple you have to get out of the country every 90 days and can back in again right away for a new 90 days as long as your visa is valid.

If you tell us the reason for the multiple non-O we can tell you the criteria to get a 1 year extension of stay. Than you don't have to leave the country.

Hi Sean,

If it is just a non-o then you have to leave and re-enter every 90 days.

If you then apply at a local immigration office for an extension of stay based on marriage or retirement then you can simply report to local immigration every 90 days.

I am guessing you are from the UK and have a multi entry for no particular reason, if so then it is border runs for you I am afraid.

Yes a border run every 90 days.

Once you are Married you can apply for 12 month extensions if you qualify financially.

(6) In case of marriage with a Thai lady, the husband who is an alien must have an average annual income of not less than 40,000 baht per month or a money deposit in a local Thai bank of not less than 400,000 baht for the past 2 months for expenses within a year.

Ok So let me get that straight after marraige , I can apply for yearly extention an only need to front Immigration office Yearly for renewal if i qualify income or bank ballance and that will be good for 12 month stints each time as long as i continue to qualify every 12 months i need only attend the office closest to me with the appropriate documents and ballance or proof of income and it will become a yearly ritual ? Thanks so much your efforts on this forum are so helpful and i have directed many people to the virtues of this site infact my most common reply on my msn surely must be not sure have a Look At Thai Visa !!! Have a Chang on Me !

Sean, you renew the extension once a year, but you still have to report to immigration every 90 days.

OK QED Super Clear now spose many a person has questioned why they make aliens married to thais perform the 90 day thing is really beyond me but im guess im not the first to bring that up ! So i guess i will prepare for the run to Laos as its the most obvious border to cross given my location and will look forward to it the first time at least as a sight seeing tour no doubt many a person has much worn off the novelty of visiting the capital of laos ? Cheers
