Hi Gents,

My mate has a problem, whatever he has searched on google, etc has been stored in his memory. If he types an A into the google search bar a drop down list appears with everything he has searched for that begins with A. However he is now going home to a wife that will most certinly check this.

I have previously had this problem, but fixed it somehow.

How is this fixed?

My mate is going home tomorrow and needs to do it pretty quick, otherwise his marriage is in trouble.

Cheers guys

Tuky - browser history? If so just clear the history/cache in whatever browser he is using!

Right click - google bar and there is an option to clear search history. :D What was he looking at? :o

A couple of things your friend should do:

1. Clear history

2. In Internet Explorer, Find Internet Options (Probably under Tools), go to advanced and unclick all Auto-Complete options

3. Download Windows Washer (Trial version) from

http://www.downloadatoz.com/download.php?p...d=window-washer

This will clear all history, cookies etc

Hope this helps

Download trial Evidence Eliminator from www.download.com. Got the full version on mine & it cleans out all the crap & more.

Surely having those programs on the computer would alert the wife....

If he needs to cover his tracks in the future, he can use a browser such as; http://www.opera.com/products/desktop/

It has a 'one click' option to clear away everything you were looking at. Under 'Tools' and 'Delete private data'.

Whilst I agree that using Opera is far better than Internet explorer for the way that cookies, history and cache are deleted on exit, it is still a good idea to have some form of cleaner program on your computer, it's certainly a lot quicker than doing everything manually and usually you can see a fairly good improvement on performance of the computer.

Over a short period of time a computer builds up a lot of junk in Windows, Program Files and the registry which slows the computer down. Programs such as Windows Washer,Ee,eastTec,Spider etc do a fairly good job of eliminating all the junk. If you combine one of those with a Registry cleaner and a defrag then it will keep a computer running a lot smoother.

Just highlight each item in the drop down list, and press delete.

What was he searching under 'A'? not much sex under A, Did you try 'Z' :o

Just for fun. But also all the above is right, you could also enter '0' (Zero) in 'days to keep history' box, it cuts it all out good like

Annal sex

Animal sex

Auntie sex

Any more sex :D

Maybe not! Might add a touch of spice to his marriage. :D

The wife might see him in a new light - presume she will log on to the web sites, too, out of curiosity?

Or is she from fringe religious order? :o
