Less Than 7 Day Extension

Featured Replies

Hey folks,

I got a 15 day overland visa at Chang Kong. I am in Bangkok now. My next destination is Siem Reap. I am unable to leave Thailand until the 16th day.

I've heard of a 7 day extension for 1900 baht. Is it possible to get an extension for one or two days instead? If so, what is the cost?

Thanks :)

ALL extensions cost 1900 Baht (even the 1 year ones) so no point going for anything less than the 7 :)

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

But it will be up to immigration to give the extension or not and they might require a proof that you will leave Thailand within those 7 days. You can apply tomorrow for the exetnsion already and see what they will say.

Thanks folks, all I needed :)

You may also consider just overstaying your visa and pay the 500 Baht per day fine at the border when you leave, especially if you know that you will be leaving on the 16th day of your 15 day visa.

This is what I would do, saves a lot of time.:)

PS. And saves you 1400 Baht, Cheers
