Clear Up The Double Entry Question?

Featured Replies

Well... looking around the 'net there seems to be a lot of conflicting information. I'd like some facts from those that actually get their visas from a visa run.

  • From Bangkok, which is the best visa run to get a dual entry?
  • From Phuket, which is the best visa run to get a dual entry?
  • Is it true that even though you may have a dul entry visa it will expire in only 90 days and can not be used for the second entry?

Oh what fun! :)

Also, if anyone wants to recommend visa run services, I am all ears. My goal is to get double entry visas each time so that I can stay for 60-89 days then re-enter and do it again. Will this hope pan out?

Cheers,

A double entry tourist visa can only be obtained from Vientienne Laos. It is currently free of charge.

This would give you almost 6 months with extensions.

Yes you have to make your second entry within 90 days of issue.

Hay Jettabug, The last time I went to Vientienne, Loas. I went in a custom Van. I can't remenber the name of the company, but just call this number and ask for Phillup. Phone #0818685620. The trip takes 10-12 hours one way. So you must stay over night. The Van Co. makes all of the arrangements. Once there, they drop you at a nice hotel for the night. There aren't many places around the hotel to party. If any? So bring a good book HaHa! At the boarder crossing they do all the work for you. Submit passport and fee etc. Once in Loas they take you to a restaurant so you can get some food and drink. The next morning they take you to the Thai embassy, take your passport and get it stamp. Then back to the van for the trip home. If you have some DVD-movies you want to see. Bring them with you. They have DVD players in the van. The hole trip fee's and hotel cost me 7000bt.
