Bank of Thailand Governor Tarisa Watanagase said today that it is too early to tell how the bombing in front of Big C Supercentre Rajadamri would affect the economy.

Regarding the Thai capital market, she said the impact is nearly nil.

Bouyed by the positive result of Europe's stress test and the renewed spike in energy prices, the Stock Exchange of Thailand Index today rose 13.44 points or 1.60 per cent to 853.68 points, on turnover of Bt42.5 billion.

"Whatever happened would be re-assessed and analysed, external or internal. The Bank of Thailand's new economic growth forecast was based on the available economic figures - the high growth in the first quarter. Though the second quarter figure is not yet available, but it is believed to remain in a high level. The growth momentum should continue in the second half," she said.

Well I hope it makes them restock the shelves with vintage or any cheddar.

We've had none for over 3 weeks, but we're not near the bombing so it wasn't us.
