THAILIBAN
AVIS usually have great Pre-paid rates. try to call their head-office in BKK (google for it) and ask for the prepaid rates and tell them how long u want to rent the car. you should be able to get a deal around 850 baht per day or so. another ok-option is NORTHWEELS.com they are based in CM but have a branch in CR (and usually allow one-way-rentals at no extra cost). sometimes they have very good off-season deals, though their older cars may have the one or other scratch (but that did never bother me much)
chris5346
hello, i have found this website but maybe it's a different avis ? http://www.avisthailand.com/EN/city/chiangmai.php are quoting 600 baht a day if prebook on the internet but i'm a bit worried about it. this website doesn't look as professional as the other avis websites : http://www.avis.com/car-rental/avisHome/home.ac# the .com website are quoting 1200 baht . i'll call the telephone numbers and see what happens. i suppose i could always book for 1 day and see if it's genuine ? We sold a car and while looking for the right match of Porshe's (or Vigo's) we rented at Avis. We rented a Toyota Fortuner at around 45,000 a month, then changed to a toyota corolla to around 20,000 a month. That was a called in rate and picked up car at CM airport. The staff are pretty competent, so giving them a call is a good option for you.
