Just while I am waiting for my wife's settlement visa to be decided on (still have my fingers crossed everyday!! because this is not a very nice game:annoyed: , hopefully I will hear this week!!)

Can somebody please advise me on the procedure I will face next year on applying for a settlement visa for my wife's daughter.

sorry i cannot help you dubar but i seem to be in the same situation as yourself as i will be hoping to bring my stepson over next year too so will be watching this post with interest although i didnt want to jump the gun and wanted my mrs over before thinking of son really, and yes i agree i put a week before you and think it is not a very nice game is it, have to be honest its killing me and my mrs, but hey all we can do is wait and hope eh?, good luck

The application procedure will be the same as for your wife. You will need to show that you can support the child and that there is adequate accommodation for her.

In addition to this, your wife will need to show that she has sole custody of her daughter, or the father is dead. More importantly, she will need to show that she has been exercising sole responsibility over the child for a considerable period.
