I no zero about the courts & cases but the band was F-in fantastic.

When I bought the record ages ago, in another lifetime I ruined it

by playing it way too often! Went out & bought another one in Japan

a couple years later. Would have loved to see em live.

Years ago Dave Brock copyrighted the name Hawkwind in the UK.

Years later Nik Turner copyrighted it in America.

Hawkwind were due to tour America this year, but due to Nik Turner copyrighting the name, the tour has been cancelled and its caught up in some legal quagmire that will benefit only the lawyers.

Brilliant band live, that being said some concerts/tours were rubbish, only my personal opinion, I am only a fan of the '70s period, after that they fell away.

Thanks for that info rgs. I have a bunch of hawkwind from the 70's

period and haven't really done any research until you posted the

Silver Machine vdo. What a shame eh....I mean the legal BS & all.

BTW...thanks for the Dick Gaughan tune...never heard of him

before...love the song...universally suited to todays world.
