Dear all,

I look for resorts in Thailand ( about 2-3 hours driving from Bangkok) who can handle more than 100 people at the same time.

Most resorts I found only have a few rooms but I look for resorts with about 50 - 60 rooms which I can book for a long weekend.

Any ideas / recommendations?

Thanks,

M.

My gosh, there are so many large resorts in the Naklua, Pattaya, Jomtien, Na Jomtien area. Too many to list! You didn't mention what kind of resort.

I liked Pattaya Park because it also has a WaterPark and is reasonably priced. Cholchan in Naklua has it's own private beach.

If you are looking for something smaller with 60 rooms, try Sea Sand Sun Resort & Spa in Na Jomtien.

Google Pattaya Resorts for many more.

I also would think Hua Hin would also have a lot of large resorts.

BB1950,

Thanks for your answer, but when I look at my own question I understand your answer and questions.

Let me rephrase it:

As a member of the BHHB (Bangkok Hash House Bikers - see http://www.bangkokbikehash.org) I look for a resort / hotel with the following details:

- located about 2-3 hours from Bangkok so in one of the following privinces : Cha Choeng Sao / Chonburi / Prachin Buri / Nakhon Nayok / Pathum Thani / Ayutthaya / Nakhom Pathom / Ratchaburi / Kanchanaburi / Suphan Buri

- can handle groups up to 100 - 120 people, rooms about TB 1.500 max per night and about 50 or 60 rooms

- located on the outskirts of a village / town so within a few minutes we are in the forest / pineapple fields / palm trees / rubber trees / palm oil trees / sand hills and mountains

- want to book the rooms Friday and Saturday

Any recommendations??

Thanks for all your help.

Cheers,

M.

Yep, I think Pungwan is probably the only one that is big enough, and closer to the price range. However, what about River Kwai Hotel??

As the River Kwai Hotel is much cheaper than other resorts mention, it is in the middle of Kan Town and on the road leading out of town to Bangkok, so for them to enter this Hotel (which btw is not a Resort) one would have to do two U-turns, one getting in from BKK and then the next one out to the openess and beauty of Kan Province.

Sure it is great location to just walk into the center of town (5 mins) or across the road to have a beer or two into the 4-9ers (Red Kangaroo) :D

Should the OP need more info just post on this thread.

Sawadee :wai:
