Featured Replies

Hi

Just bought this one in Europe,https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=32700 and when i come home i need a TSM, some say go for the CD other say micro SD, this unit have micro CD so should in not go for that one?? if not why? i am willing to pay what it cost i dont even want a fake or whatever its only about 2-3000 Baht.

got a street pilot now but have to go to BKK for upgrade, so that unit has to go.

If you don't want to have to edit the internal memory of your Nuvi 1390T then a microSD card is needed. ESRI sells their Thailand Street Map on CD with both English and Thai map files included. You would need to transfer the English language map file to the GPS internal memory or to a microSD card. The retail price of the ESRI CD from dealers is 2,000 baht. MicroSD card is by far the easiest way to go. Note: You do not have the Thai OS version.

Note: You do not have the Thai OS version.

Which means Junction View and Lane Assist will probably not work, even if you buy a map in Thailand.

Hi

Thanks guys

Do i really need Thai OS? if i do can i get it?

Do you know why i would not have junction view and lane assist

Thanks

1. ESRI Thailand Street Map v10.1 (TSM) junction view and lane assist is reported to only work with the Thai OS on units purchased in Thailand such as the Nuvi 215W, 710, and 1460.

2. You have junction view and lane assist capability on the Nuvi 1390T, but only by using a Garmin OS map. To the best of my knowledge Garmin's City Navigator Southeast Asia NT v4.5, Garmin's latest Thailand map, does not have any junction views or lane assist for Thailand. I could be wrong.

3. At this time TSM only has junction views for Bangkok and immediate vicinity. So not much use if you live in Chiang Mai.

4. If you want a TSM it would be best to contact ESRI, in Bangkok, directly to arrange for the latest map for your Nuvi 1390T, they could have a better solution for you..
