August 9, 201015 yr I am currently living in Thailand on a 'retirement visa' which has been extended many times (13 I think). I have not travelled outside Thailand during this period. My problem is that I have somebody else's TM6 pinned to my passport. This happened in Suan Plu immigration a number of years ago & I didn't spot it until preparing for my next extension. Every time since then, I have held my breath that the immigration officer didn't notice the incorrect TM6 and thay didn't. What is the best way to rectify this problem? Take a trip to Laos & have it sorted out when exiting at the border? Serious suggestions gratefully accepted.
August 9, 201015 yr Would be best if you still had the number of the old TM card. What immigration does when people lose their TM6 card is to just give a new TM-card with the number deleted and the number of the old TM-card written under it. Just go to immigration and tell them you just noticed it. Don't wait till at the airport, that is where they might notice there is something wrong and the airplane isn't going to wait for you till it is corrected.
August 9, 201015 yr Immigration should be able to find when the error was made and have copies of your original entry in there files for extensions prior to that time as that is a required items for each extension of stay. Very strange it was never noticed however.
August 9, 201015 yr Author Thank you both for the replies. I don't have any idea what the original TM6 number was, so it's off to immigration to sort it out before my next extension application.
