Train Info, Bangkok-Sisaket

Featured Replies

hi all hope someone can help,i have been trying to book a sleeper train ticket from bkk-sisaket on the 17/09/10 and as my flight only arrives at 19.00 i am not sure i will make it to the train station for 20.30,which incidently is the last train that is 'bookable ' online.

there are 2 later trains at 22.33 and around 23.40 but it seems that for some reason these tickets can not be booked online!,so what i wnt to know is are there sleeper cars on these trains and if so what class? and has anyone actually walked in to hualampong station and paid over the counter for a sleeper berth on either of these trains? and thirdly do these trains sell out regularily? thanks in advance for any information that is forthcoming.

The last 2 trains from Bangkok are rapid trains 2nd-3rd class they wont have sleeping cars on there mate but dont quote me on that.Ive been in 1st class sleepers and bought the tickets on line.but the rapid trains you can buy at the station.the 2nd class seats wernt bad i traveled from Hua hin to bangkok no aircon just open windows you are really pushing it to get from the airport to the railway station in that time it depends how quick you get through passport control and taxi.

any other info http://www.seat61.com/Thailand.htm

good luck
