Hi,

I arrive in Koh Samui in the middle of September.

Just wondering if there is any sort of 5-a-side football organised for expats like in Bangkok?

And what is the gym situation, can I just walk into a gym and sign up for a month?

Any info on the golf would be appreciated as well - although I don't want to be spending a fortune!

There are some organised football about but as I don't do football I wouldn't know where. I guy that would would be Dave at the Hut bar on the ghost road in Bangrak. He coaches somewhere.

Gym ? plenty about and yes just walk in and sign up.

Plenty of golf about as well but do not know the prices

If it doesn't involve getting wet I don't do much of it

there is a great club on Samui called the Kho Samui Sports and Social Club www.ksssc.com , they cater for everybody and have just had their end of first season party, it was great.

they put on quiz nights/days race nights, golf days, ten pin bowling,visits to Hong Kong for rugby, visits to F1 Grand Prix ect ect,

They do not have a club house as such but have ascociated bars all around Samui who offer a 10% discount for all members.

I highly recomend this to anyone as last season I got all my membership back (in discounts and freebies) and in the meantime had a great time, especially the golf day at Bo Phut for ascocited bars.

you are guaranteed to meet many of the colourful characters of Samui so give it a try.
