Auto Trade-Ins?

Featured Replies

Going to buy a new vehicle but wondered if dealers in Chiang Mai take

trade-in of your old vehicle. Realize could get better price selling it

ourselves but don't want the hassle. Any experience and/or recommendation

on dealers/ Thanks. :)

Most dealers will arrange for a second hand dealer to come to the showroom and value your car. Toyota near Airport Plaza have their own used car division for Toyota s in good condition but the trade in price tends to be lower but they are prepared to negotiate with the sales division.

Some do. The Toyota Dealer on the Hang Dong Road. They did not take my trade in directly but contacted a dealer that did. Received a fair price for a trade in.

I traded in a car a few months ago and the best deal I could get from the dealer was about half the price I could have sold it for on my own. I would suggest looking in the classified ads and see what vehicles of the same age and type as yours are going for before going to the dealer. That way you will be able to see how big of a hit you will be in for if you trade.

Sold outright direct to Toyota and they gave me a better price than any trader. Quite surprising really. Probably could have got more privately but it was all so easy and no need to deal with tyre-kickers. It helps if it's in mint condition.
