So about me,

I met my wife in September 2007 and i stayed with her in until Febuary 2008, where I was learning and then working in Scuba Diving in Koh Tao. I flew back to the Uk and worked for 10 months because my funds were depleted (keeping in contact with my then girlfriend and sending money!). I then flew out to Thailand again in January 2009 to be with my GF and have been here since, teaching diving. We had a baby daughter in Febuary and married in May this year. Now we are starting to plan a visit back to the UK. The plan was just for a 6 month family visa to see my parents which, although I am only just reseaching, should be quite straightforward. Then I got a job offer from a friend who I worked with before. Now im thinking about maybe go for a settlement visa... Now because I have ben living in Thailand on a tourist visa I cant really prove any earnings (i pay about 25 - 30k into my wifes bank account every month from Scuba Diving, most of which goes on living expenses) and I have no savings or property. My parents will be the main sponsors and we will have a room in their house and I dont think they have massive amounts of savings, maybe about 15,000 pounds?

My wife,

Works in aRestaurant for the last two and a half years (appart from 6 months off when she was pregnant and shortly after daughgter was born)

Has two children from a previous relationship, one lives in Bangkok and the other in Prachin Buri with an Aunt, (good for the 6 month Visa for reason to return?)

Is there any point in trying for the settlement visa as I have no income or property? Is the small amount of savings that my parents have enough? Or should I just go for the 6 month and then maybe apply after i have been working in the uk for 6 months, and will be renting somewhere?

Thanks for any help offered... And im aware that dont know alot about the visa process yet.. I am reading alot of posts here and trying to figure it out... My head has been spinning for days now!

Having children does not grantee that they will return to Thailand. personal I would go for the six months visit , that way you will be able to see if your wife can live in the UK ,Also it will give you time to think and sort things out, I would think it would be an easier option , and it would look good that she has visited the UK and returned to Thailand.
