Affordable Notary Service In Bkk ?

Featured Replies

Can anybody recommend a public notary service in BKK? I just need to get one or two photocopies of a business registration certified.

Unfortunately Sunbelt is not offering this service any more. They used to do it for 350 THB per page.

I looked around a bit and got quotes from 1500 THB up to 12000 THB. That sounds a bit outrageous to me.

Any suggestions? For my purpose now any official enough looking stamp on the photocopy should do the trick.

Cheers, Farrol

I always use the US Embassy for this. It is only available to US Citizens and Permanent Residents. The costs are on the site or give them a call.

Try Bangkokbase 10fl Fenix Tower Soi 31.

Foreign nationals may also have documents notarized, but only if the documents will be used in the United States.

Notarial Services

I stand corrected.

It is strange. The first time I used the service they made a big point in the Consular section (which is where they do this) of telling me that I had to go in person and that my wife (who is Japanese) could not go without me.

Our documents are always for use in the US for various properties and investments.

Just shows I should look up the rules and not listen to the people who do the job. And argue if they do not comply to the rules.

Have a look here about the risks of a notary by a Thai lawyer used abroad:
