August 28, 201015 yr Turkey is not in the Shenghen Area so she will need to apply to the Turkish Consulate, appointments are by an appointment and as applications from Thai nationals are referred to the Turkish authorities it can take a couple of months. http://www.turkishconsulate.org.uk/en/visa.asp?PageID=3#3 Turkey is not in the EU so I doubt very much if she could qualify under European freedom of movement. theoldgit
August 30, 201015 yr Your wife needs to consult to Turkish embassy in Bangkok +66 2 355 54 86-87 It will make things easier if she has some money in bank account, or you can call them yourself and ask what can you do. For example, if you give them a note (signed by you) that you will cover all expenses (kind of sponsoring her) on your trip together it will make things even easier. If you have reservations from any hotel in Turkey, include a copy of them too.
