90 Days Reporting After Re-Entry Permit

Featured Replies

hi, I have quick(ish) question:

I got my ED visa stamped in Vientianne on Jan 31st 2010. First 90 day ext. was Apr 29th 2010 done at Laksi. I got a re-entry permit to leave Thailand, which I did in May and returned on June 11th 2010. I got my second 90 day ext. on July 23rd 2010 which is good until Oct 27th 2010.

Due to confusion on my part I have never done a 90 day report. I would first like to confirm that ED visas require the 90 day address reporting? I was under the initial impression 90 day reporting was for individuals on 1 year visas not required to do visa extensions every 90 days. Bad assumption I think, since it looks like perhaps ED visa holders could in fact be required to do 90 day address reporting in addition to their visa 90 visa extension. Can anyone please confirm?

Now while looking into this it looks like I might not be required to do a 90 day report counting 90 days returning on a re-entry permit, which for me stamping back in on June 11 would be the week of Sept 11th. Does that sound right, even though I had to do a 90 day visa extension on July 23rd?

If 90 day reporting s indeed required for ED visa holders what kind of problems am I looking at having not reported at the time of the first 90 day extension? If I do in fact do not have to report until the week of Sept 11th (90 days after re-entry stamp) can I expect any problems at that time doing a 90 day report not having done one for my first 90 day extension?

thanks in advance.

suk.

You do need to make a report about the 8th or 9th and they may not notice the previous failure to report but if they do have 2,000 baht available.
