Mario2008
ThaiLawOnline updated their website and has an interesting article on public notary in Thailand. Apparently Thailand has public notaries, but they are public notaries because they have a special license from the Thai Council of Lawyer. Currently there is no law regulating Public Notary in Thailand only a ruling from the Thai Council of Lawyers, meaning that in a foreign court a document from a Thai Public Notary might be contested. Keep that in mind when you need a Public Notary in Thailand. Shotime
I needed to have some documents notarized for my signature a few months ago here in Thailand. I had to return the notarized documents to the US. I found the only way to get them notarized was to go to the US embassy. There was no way to get them notarized by a Thai lawyer. electau
For Australians see this website. http://www.ag.gov.au/www/agd/agd.nsf/Page/Statutorydeclaration_Statutorydeclarationinformationsheet#s6 See question 6. In most cases this will be at a Consulate, Embassy of High Commision.
