Under thai labour law if you have been working legally you are entitled to alot more probably. We moved sites and several staff who could not move were given redundancy. Staff who had worked for more than 1 year got 6 months salary.

I would check with an employment legal expert

Do a search on "Thailand Labour Law severance" and you will find plenty of information.

Here is the Severance Pay:

Duration of Employment, Rate of Severance

120 days or more but less than 1 year, 30 days salary

1 year or more but less than 3 years, 90 days salary

3 years or more but less than 6 years, 180 days salary

6 years or more but less than 10 years, 240 days salary

10 years or more, 300 days salary

So after 9 years, you should get at least 240 days of Salary.

Go to your nearest Labour Department Office, and they can give you some useful advise.

I recieved my money when I was laid off last year for 5 years work. do not sign anything until you get the money. also you only have 3 working days to file this with the labour office from the date you were let go. did you get written notice? if not keep turning up for work until you get it. if you do not show up for three days and you recieved no wriiten notice your company could say you never turned up for three days and did not give any notice so they can legally fire you without payment.

PM me if you want more info! act fast....
