Register a company to buy a condo ? How much ? How long ? Why ? Who ? Can i make in within 1 day ? What are the consequences ? (tax, etc)

hi, i read here before that it's a good idea to register a company in the purpose of buying a condo but i can't remember and find again why, can you help ?

The only thing i know is that you pay less tax when you sell the company shares than when you sell the condo directly to someone else, is it true ?

Any other information (name of lawyer to register the company tomorrow !) will be appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

Thank you so much !

Will contact tomorrow.

It's NEVER a good idea to register a company to buy a condo.

A Farang can own a condo outright in their own name.

Don't buy any other way.

Thanks, but i still wonder why someone said that it's better to sell shares of a company than a condo directly.

Also, why so many ads show condos in company names ? People must have a reason to buy in company name ?

Plenty more buildings out there that have Farang quota available.

Was that 'someone' a someone that was trying to sell you a condo by any chance?

No someone, i'm just interested to know if there is any better way to buy and sell than doing in in my name, also because i wonder if after buying and selling too many condo they could suspect that i do it as a real job...

Oh dear oh dear, how reassuring to know that even in the current econmic climate the entrepreneurial spirit is still alive and well, cant keep a good man down.

Trust that work permit is in order.

Buying a Condo in your own name is much simpler.

I only used the company route because I wanted a house.

Taxes, expenses and paperwork each year are a pain.

I pay tax on rent each year, to live in my own house. :bah:

op hasn't bought a condo yet but is afraid that the Thai gov might found out that he buys and sells condo as his job? :whistling:
