Passport Question

Featured Replies

both my son and long term girlfriend are looking to return to the uk.

Both hold Thai and UK passports....my girlfirend is thai and my son was born in the uk. My girlfriend is also a uk citizen.

They are planning to book flight on there Thai passports , is it ok to just show there uk passports at uk immigration? Also my sons uk passport needs renewing would he have to do this before flying? or would his old uk passport and UK birth certificate be OK....any help appreciated

An expired passport is accepted for entry into the UK, but not always a good idea. Especially if the appearence has changed.

The will exit the UK on ther UK passport, enter Thailand on the THai passport, leave Thailand on the THai passport and enter the UK on the UK passport.

At check in at the ailrine in both countries they show both passports, confirming they don't need a visa for either country.

ok thanks for your help mario - we only left the uk three years ago. Would it help if we have my sons full UK birth cert? I think it may be a good idea to get his UK passport renewed anyway via hong kong just to avoid any hassles, thanks again.
