Three Unexploded Bombs Found In Bangkok Area: Police

You find the State of Emergency oppressive? How So?

I've lived in Central Bangkok through out the whole episode, i have not found my daily life to be even slightly affected by the State Of Emergency.

Basically the SoE affects nobody who isnt looking for it to affect them. Funny thing is that was a joke by someone I know who donates to the reds. Only in Thailand.

A little selfish, just because it does not affect your daily life it does not mean that it does not affect others, the obvious aim of the SoE is to affect people, in particular the opposition. If is has no effect then they may as well remove it as it is clearly pointless, as I said in an earlier post.

The SoE is not meant to suppress the opposition, just terrorists, maniacs, etc. Now if some of the opposition happen to be terrorists ...

The name Jatuporn comes to mind.

Theres that word 'terrorist' again. Can we have one of the government propaganda people, on this forum, give us an update has to where we are in preparing the papers for Mr Tacky. It been some time now, surely the presentation is ready for interpol. Silly me forgot the guy at Interpol bust two ribs laughing at the submission. I think his response to the Government Minister went something like this..."Jog on yer Mong...get a real job:cheesy:

If one were to look at several of the recent bombings in which the perpetrators were identified, such as Bhum Thai Party headquarters and at Big C, one could find that the Red Shirt Bomber Squad is responsible. They've acknowledged this themselves by admitting to them.

Do you have the source so I can read where they have admitted to this?

I have a feeling that your opinion is so set that you could be given the source of the information and would not believe it if it was sworn to on the bible..... Some people can only see one color...... is that being color blind?

That would explain "not seeing" dozens of newspaper reports on the subject.

Politics is an interesting game mostly misunderstood. IMHO the government is happy enough with the paperwork having been started. Who wants K. Thaksin back anyway?

Perhaps we should suggest to the printed media that they change the color of the ink from black to red. It would seem plausabile that some certain uninformed or misinformed posters would have a better knowledge of current events.

Would make much more common sense that getting current events of the back/front of a T-Shirt

As to the police finding and defusing these bombs, would you feel it better that they ignore the call ins or tips?

it would appear that the coup leader general Sonthi wants him back, as by his own admission the country has become a clusterfuc_k without him.

Now to the newspaper reports about the alleged bombers admitting to their deeds and admitting to being redshirts, do any of you actually 100% believe those reports? Come on guys, seriously?

I would suggest that when you want to criticise a poster for not reading news reports you do so after reading that persons posts. It seems a little ironic that you miss my post about supporting neither side (if I did I would have no hesitation in saying so) while criticising me for missing news reports. That said however I have not missed the news reports, I just choose to take them with the massive pinch of salt that they richly deserve.

As for your first sentence, logic is not your strong point I guess.

how silly of you also to suggest that I never believe answers, I do believe answers, I believe the answers that are credible and choose to question the ones that are not, hope that answers your question. I do this for either reds or yellows, I take no side in this, both are as bad as each other but both are pushed by the government of the day. one think is clear, thailands ills are not caused by the people, they are caused by the people they elect.

So now the airport closure did not happen because I am a newbie with an inordinate number of posts.

Sorry i was led to believe that there was some decent educated discussion in this forum, I was clearly misinformed.

1. Gonzo is NOT critisizing, that's your interpretation.

2. Your posts suggest you support the side which asks seemingly interested questions, only to jump on any type of response. Not only not wanting to believe the response, but also questioning 'how on earth can you believe this'.

3. If you do not care to believe any newsreport you read, why do you bother to read them. More over why do you annoy us ? As I said before 'government conspiracy theories' seem to come natural to some, but unproven.

Keep up the good work ;)

isn't it amazing how normally the police could not find their own <deleted> with both hands, yet they seem to be finding unexploded bombs in places they would not normally even visit, the more sceptical amongst us can see these alleged explosives for exactly what they are, an excuse to continue with the pointless and oppressive state of emergency that is keeping other political parties down.

Amazing thailand

99% of the detective work they do works on a tip off. They are usually up the ears in the dodgy business, so they are usually well aware of wrong doings in the locality.

That's right.I thought the same.cool.gif

Random: cleary the soe is a barrier to those who wish to start parading bottles of blood around the city and burning down shopping malls.

The soe does not prevent the opposition from presenting policy ideas and plans to the general electorate. However we have not seen any of these.

As for finding the bombs this morning - I watched the video on tv and suffice to say that these objects were found in places u normally wouldn't see fire extinguishers-between two parked cars sitting on the ground.

Quote from above: "The soe does not prevent the opposition from presenting policy ideas and plans to the general electorate. However we have not seen any of these."

Totally agree, nothing of any substance from PT for many months. During their reign of terror the red shirts (with strong links to PT, jatuporn as one obvious example)had warcries about: 'double standards', 'democracy and justice', 'class war'.

Funny how the PT / reds have done nothing whatever to generate further public debate, not distributed any detailed/focused literate, not introduced structured discussion and/or proposed legislation on any of these specific points.

Seems to prove what I've said for months, all of these warcries were nothing more than a smokescreen over a pardon for thaksin etc etc.

What's much more to the point is that PT have announced no discussion / proposed no legislation in regard to the enourmous and obvious need to urgently improve education, generate more and equal opportunities for the poor rural Thais so that they greatly improve their quality of life.

I said 'they can improve their quality of life' quite deliberately, because this is in essence how it will be sustainable. Handouts don't fix anything long-term.

And, when Chalerm and other PT members have spoken of recent times they have all said that their main platform for the future is to get thaksin back with a pardon and pass legislate for a return to the 2006 constitution (which makes vote buying easy).

You read what was not written. That's your mental state which has nothing to do with the number of posts in your short life here at TV.

You are right in your last sentence, we at TV do like decent, educated discussions. Your's doesn't fall in this category. You seem to fall in the group of annoying posters who seem hellbent on getting banned with the most members annoyed at them. This is not a thread, just an observation.

So you believe the reports regarding General Sonthi, but disbelieve the reports about the Red bombers. Most of both stories are written by exactly the same sources.

Perhaps that is why people question as to your claims of "I take no side"?

Well, maybe I was wrong, you do believe some answers, but most likely none of the ones I'm providing. No indication why, so end of discussion then I fear.

so to clarify my stance, do i beleive that the currents bombs are placed by reds? No I don't. Do I think this government deserves to be in the post? No i dont, two reasons, number one is that they were not elected to be government, and number two I think they are responsible for the wholseale murder of Thai people in central Bangkok. These thoughts do not make me a red shirt, it is possible to have these beliefs and not be pigeon holed.

Which MP in the current government wasn't elected?

Do you believe that the red shirts were armed?

I think there is a problem with your google translator my friend. Now are we going to have a sensible conversation or or you going to continue trying to ridicule because I have a differing opinion.

It is all about opinions, you choose to believe that this government would not get involved in such things, I believe they would, since you have chosen the path of ridicule rather than sensible debate then yes I agree, it seems it is the end of our discussion.

mmm interesting, so anything that does not fall in line with your beliefs annoys you, seems pretty closed minded of you. As for my posts suggesting something, I thought the words were pretty clear that I take no sides, however at the moment it is the reds to the fore so we are discussing them. One thing is however certain that i have no time for this government and whichever side is against them then that side I would listen to, evaluate and and then decide whether to support them based on their actions.

so to clarify my stance, do i beleive that the currents bombs are placed by reds? No I don't. Do I think this government deserves to be in the post? You are allowed to your opinion of course, but that doesn't mean you're right. 'Take no sides' and 'wholesale murder' is a contradiction. You dislike my answers and you follow-up with blatant lies ? To say 'government responsable for wholesale murder' doesn't make you a red-shirt indeed, only a bloody fool. And you accuse me of closed-mindedness ?

When the Reds were squashed (literally) I said that this was not the end.

I must point out that I am totally non-aligned politically. Thai politics is for thais.

Now, regarding these numerous bomb scares. They may be real. The benefit of doubt must apply.

On the other hand, if for any reason these scares are fabricated, they may prove to be counterproductive.

Crying 'woolf' may invite woolves attention. Nobody needs the South border problems move up North. Somebody just may be playing with fire.:jap:

So to clarify, you are not a red shirt, but you do agree with the red shirts opinion on not being responsible for this bombing, the present government is not elected, and the government is responsible for murder in Bangkok, or in other words, three out of three aspects that you mentioned are exactly in line with the beliefs of the red shirts.

uhmm... ok. You're not a red shirt since you say so.
