My stand alone media player will not play either mkv or ogm files but will play avi files. Have looked at Google but am looking for a program that a bm has already used and will work well and is easy to use. Searc h function did not work but I did try! Any help is appreciated. Haven't used that front end, but mencoder is installed on my Linux system and I use it fairly regularly. The results are as ok as you're going to get going from one compressed format to another.
