OM3N
Military presence is already ramped up around lower sukhumvit, as reported by a buddy. Are they planning to stage at Rachaprasong again, or where. I cant see a repeat of the last madness happening, but have a feeling it's not gonna come up roses. It'll be an interesting weekend. taurus88
Really do not feel that the Reds would be foolish enough to repeat the mayhem. They can see that their actions have eroded a lot of supporters for their cause and will affect PT chance at next election. The recent peace gestures by key PT executives were all trying to heal part of the wound and forms the new strategy. Jatuporn has openly stated that they will be no more Rajaprasong type protest. I believe that weekend protest will be peaceful as it is important that the Reds show a more democratic form of protest; much to their own interest and bring back the support. The flower at the prison and peaceful dispersal are the new prelude to this new peaceful protest strategy.

It got worse. I personally don't believe a word that Jatuporn or Thaksin have to say! Both are habitual liars. Thaksin hasn't got his amnesty, his money back, or control of the government again. He'll continue to create a problem until then. He'll lie low for a while, but he will not back down. It's far from over yet. I doubt anything serious will happen this weekend, but I suspect something serious will occur again. Next year during Songkran after the co-conspirators get released. craigt3365
I wonder how many people, like me, cancelled their planned trip to Bangkok for this weekend? More money lost for the businesses...sad...
