Hi Everyone,

First post here :)

I intend to be coming out to Chiang Mai in November for 3 months, just wondering if someone could recommend a cheap hotel with Wi-Fi as I need it for work (It's a part work retreat, half holiday I'm going on).

From the UK so any tips where I might find some fellow Brits is also welcome :)

The internet in hotels and guest houses generally sucks big time

Loads of Brits round here, Nuan Pranee Guest House

http://en.cm-teepak....052&infoType=GH

5,500bht a month plus utils (website not updated)

Aircon, cable tv, dvd player, fridge, wifi

R&B bar next door (not noisy) owned by a Brit, and a hang-out for the Brit husbands of Thai ladies.

They just recovered their pool table and it's very nice to play on.

Right in the middle of CM, no need for your own transport, unless you want to.

Internet

Buy yourself a CAT CDMA dongle for your laptop 5,900bht + 790bht a month, faster than 1meg landline.

Pantrip Plaza, inside, ground floor, 3 shops away from Bangkok bank (take passport)

No need to rush Nuan Pranee have wifi, give theirs a try first.

You can either buy the USB dongle or a personal wifi hotspot version.

The shop will rent you one, if you want to try before you buy.
