Crime Former Boxer Sets Fire to Two Malaysian Tourists Outside Mall
UPDATE Former Boxer Remanded for Setting Malaysian Tourists Alight Picture courtesy of Amarin A former boxer accused of dousing a Malaysian husband and wife with thinner before setting them on fire in central Bangkok has been remanded in custody, with police opposing bail. The incident occurred on 7 August outside a well-known shopping mall in the Ratchaprasong area. CCTV and bystander footage showed the suspect, later identified as Worakorn, pouring thinner over the couple before igniting it. Quick action by passers-by prevented further harm and led to his immediate arrest by officers from Lumpini Police Station. On the morning of 9 August, investigators escorted Worakorn to Bangkok South Criminal Court for the first phase of detention, covering 9–21 August. Police argued against bail, citing the seriousness of the offence, the severity of the potential penalty and the suspect’s lack of a fixed address, raising concerns he might flee. Speaking briefly to reporters as he was taken from his cell, Worakorn admitted to the attack, confirming that he had prepared the thinner and a lighter in advance. He claimed the act was driven by stress over being unemployed and insisted he did not know the victims, nor did he realise they were foreign tourists. When asked if he wished to apologise to the injured couple, he nodded in agreement before being placed into a police vehicle and driven to court. Both victims remain in hospital with serious injuries. Police have confirmed that the charges now include attempted murder. Adapted by Asean Now from Amarin 2025-08-09 -

BILD reveal Gaza hunger photos staged by Hamas/Turkish media
I don't have a position, only an opinion based in facts. Your position however ignores the Israeli attempts to annex Gaza and remove all Palestinians from gaza. Attempts that will succeed. One of the ways of doing that is by not providing enough food. -
