Can someone explain what optimization is needed for SSD drives? My SSD (Intel 160GB) drive worked straight out the box and I see no optimization to use with it?

its more of to prevent writes to the SSD which is not needed

I downloaded the Intel SSD toolbox, it was of no real use as it basically said my SSD was good to go, although it did tell me turn off superfetch.

dont really need the toolbox if ur using Win7.

toolbox is mainly for XP users who don't have the TRIM feature enabled so they have to manually TRIM
