Heads Up Possible Scam

Featured Replies

The wife a got a call from a lady who said she was with TOT supposedly selling some sort of insurance. Asked my wife is she had a credit card, wife told her no and she immediately hung up

Not possible scam, definite scam....Mrs Ray23 did the right thing..

I thought TOT, with their high bandwith pricing and slow speeds, was already a scam.

No idea if that was a Scam, but more and more 'insurance Offers' appear to come by phone cold calling or mail shots, even to people arriving in the Village on a motorbike to pop flyers in everyone mail box.

Hey, I'm in the U.S. right now (back to the LoS on Saturday) staying at my sister's place, and I got two (2) insurance offers in my name via snail mail today.

Reckon it's the same all over, just "good" sales tactics.

Mac

Go into Bangkok Bank to do anything that requires interaction with the staff and they ask you if you have insurance.

But anyone that asks about credit cards over the 'phone, just hang up.
