How To Pay Air Asia With Scb

Featured Replies

My wife has the SCB online access and Visa debit card.

When I try to pay Airasia ticket with her Siam commercial bank online it first asks for some ID number? What is that number? What number should I enter?

I suppose after that it is only the normal login to the SCB online and some confirmation?

Of course I want to pay this way to avoid paying Air Asia convenience fee.

Thanks for the reply. I am abroad so just trying to pay online for Air Asia thru without paying fee of 53 b per sector. I fly Air asia several times per year as many others do so this is very relevant to save money.

I try to use direct debit and the only choice is SCB and after choosing that Air Asia comes up with:

Identification Card Number and an input field.

And a button with Click here to proceed.

So the question is if this is the number from her thai ID card?

So you are trying to pay by DEBIT CARD on Air Asia's website? I use their website to book online and pay with my Thai CREDIT CARD. The process is fairly straightforward. I don't understand where in the booking process you are up to. Are you trying to fill in her details under Passport Details where it asks for Identification/Passport number, issuing Country etc.? If so you need to put the passenger's passport number there. Once you have done that proceed through the booking process until you get to the payment page where you will be asked for the type of card, numbers and cardholder name. Also CVV/CID number which is the three figure number on the back of her card.

No I am trying to pay by Direct Debit via SCB which is not the same as debit card.

It is the 16 digit number on the Debit Card.

This then opens the bank log in page. When this page is open you enter the bank Log in name and password.

Thanks very much for your reply. I will try that.

Hi,

Do you mean that you need an internet access to your bank account ?

After typing your debit card number, they want you to connect to your bank ? Or just type your debit card password ?

Thanks.

Maybe I can sort this...

SCB ATM card was introduced as method of payment on AA website. Love it.

The fee is per OW or RT purchase no? I don't think you can rack up a dozen legs and then pay one charge. That is simply not how it works. It's not a shopping cart on ebay!?

Having said that, I do understand how scammy it seems as you would pay double fee flying

BKK-KUL-???

...as the site is only point to point.

I paid with my wifes online SCB login. No fee.

Used her number from thai ID card.

Nothing to do with her debit card.

Pay with KASIKORN debit card, go to ATM and enable online payment, then pay online directly with your card number.

Surprised, but it works well !

I used the 16 digits on the ATM card, I guess SCB just uses any of the known info to locate the correct account. After that you login to SCB

Indeed, but the reason people want to pay with SCB is to avoid the "convenience fee", you will still pay this using your Kasikorn card.

Might try it with the other airlines, such as Qatar, who insist on seeing the card used for the booking at check-in, and don't accept virtual cards.

You mean if one pays with K-Bank card, still pays the "convenience fee"....

With Air Asia, you can only do the online banking option for SCB. It doesn't take other banks. If you are using another bank it has to be debit or credit card.

I really like the convenience of the SCB ATM card online. I don't have to put my debit cards online and it pulls from my Thai account. Now I see Thaifly has this as well. Really lovin' this.

Gave up credit cards decades ago.

You can pay w/ debit cards - you just select the type of card. Be warned though, your card may be blocked. My DC was blocked even though I was using it in the USA and...had used it successfully prior on the very same site the year before from US and Philippines. After the call, worked like a charm.
