Boots The Chemist

Featured Replies

Could I assume when I travel to Chiang Mai that I might find at Boots in Thailand about all the same products available in the UK?

Never assume anything.

It depends what you're looking for. All the usual over-the-counter medication (Thai versions) are no problem, but remember that the main shop stuff will be localised, anything peculiarly British will likely be absent.

I am not in chaing mai but I know there are plenty in Bangkok, I would imagine chaing mai also has Boots, also I could not say 100% that all the items are the same as Boots in the UK, I would guess this depends on store size. Is there a specific item you wat or just in general?

i always find boots stock alot of the UK products

One of the things I am always asked to bring from UK are the Beecham's powders or the Boots own brand. Never found them here in Boots.

There a quite a few Boots branches in Chiang Mai especially in the large shopping malls such as Airport Plaza

Yes they do, but these are imported and much more expensive than in the UK.

I'm not thinking of UK specific products but general international brands that Boots normally carries.

You'll find lots of whitening cremes here - more than in UK I suppose.

Perhaps you could:

- Go to a boots shop in Bkk or CM and check for the specific products your talking about, and many of their branches have an English speaking pharmacist.

- Name the specific products here and see if members respond to specific product names.

- e.mail or call, or check their website for their specific stck in Thailand.
