Anyone got some "useful" advice and costs on travelling to Phuket by bus with my Thai wife & 3 children [1 - 6 years age] in about 2 weeks?

Is there a VIP service direct from Pattaya or will I need to go from Bangkok?

There is no bus from Pattaya to Phuket,only to Surat [ Ko Samui ].What I did last time,bus from North Pattaya-busstation to Southern-busstation in Thon-Buri { West-Bangkok] .and

overthere V.I.P bus to Phuket. Almost every hour busses,the best are from Transport co,good service,relax drivers! Check there web-side.

But the other suggestion;Bangkok-Air, from U-Tapao { Sattahip] to Phuket,only a little bit more expensive!
