Hi

My girlfriend and i are just about to submit visa application , but she has suddenly got worried about money.

I have stated that i will be paying for trip accomidation ect in letter of invite and on application form. I have suplied all necessary documentation to back this up and to prove that this is affordable. However she thinks we don't stand a chance now because she does'nt have much money in her bank.. She has maybe £300 at the moment.

Advice please

Thanks

Finance for a visit can come from the applicant, the sponsor, a third party or any combination of these. So there is no need for her to have any money in her account at all! Obviously, any one who is contributing toward the cost of the visit should provide evidence of their ability to do so, and if a third party say why they are doing so.

ECOs are often suspicious of sudden unexplained deposits into an applicant's bank; so if you do decide to pay some money into her account you should say in your sponsor's letter that you have done so and what the money is for.
