Suratpittaya School, Multi Language Program (MLP) is looking for enthusiastic teachers to join our staff for the next academic year 2011 – 2012. Suratpittaya School is a high school located in Surat Thani, the southern hub of Thailand.

The MLP provides students a unique and a diverse curriculum which enables students to become responsible global citizens. We offer a supportive and creative environment that promotes self-discipline/ learning and motivation.

We are searching for dynamic individuals with a positive and professional work ethic. Applicants should be open-minded and flexible, as well as sincerely dedicated to the best interests of the student’s education and development.

The following positions will begin on March 1st 2011. Interviews will be held for the available positions from November 2010.

1. Position 1: Maths Teacher – Lower Secondary Level (Year 1 – Year 3)

2. Position 2: Science Teacher – Lower Secondary Level (Year 1 – Year 3)

Package:

• Salary scale beginning at 35,000-45,000baht per month dependant on qualifications and experience.

• 12 months contract, which can be extended for additional benefits, including a guaranteed salary increase.

• 4 weeks paid holiday per year (8 weeks for renewing teachers) and all official holidays are paid – approx 13-15 days

• End of Contract bonus up to 25,000 baht

• Assistance in obtaining a Non-B visa

• Work permit, and teacher’s license

• Western Management.

• Assistance in finding accommodation and settling in

Working Conditions:

• Teaching hours range from 15-22 a week.

• Class sizes range from 28-32 students per class.

• School hours are approximately 07:30-16.30 Monday to Friday.

• modern air-conditioned classrooms and offices equipped with computers, projectors etc

Applicants must meet the following criteria;

• You must be a native English speaker from The United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa.

• Hold an accredited Bachelors degree or higher (in a core subject-based area). Exceptional candidates with no experience will be considered

• Minimum of one year of teaching experience preferably in Thailand

• Provide original education diplomas, certificates, and transcripts.

• Drive & enthusiasm and passion for student’s development, in order to enhance the success of our school in the community
