SQ to SIN, then Silk Air to HKT?. Should be an all in fare as Silk and SQ are partners.

I just plugged in random dates for Dec and Jan and the fare came to $1430 and gets you star alliance miles.

Its not greed - its high season. High demand = high prices and its the same everywhere in the world during high season. I don't know why anyone is surprised
