News_Editor Posted October 15, 2010 Share Posted October 15, 2010 Agencies to simulate car explosion at Newark Airport during Saturday drill 2010-10-16 00:53:47 GMT+7 (ICT) NEW YORK (BNO NEWS) -- Multiple agencies will be participating in a training exercise at Newark Liberty International Airport near New York City on Saturday, officials said on Friday. The drill that will simulate a car explosion near one of the terminals will involve the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, local, state and federal agencies. "Travelers will see emergency vehicles around Terminal B and may see smoke as part of a simulated incident," the Authority said, adding that the exercise will last from 8.30 a.m. EDT to 11 a.m. EDT with set up before and clean up afterward.
