Kor Ror 2 From A

Featured Replies

hi guys,

anyone can explain me what document it is ( Kor Ror 2 ) ? Can I get it myself from the amphur or ?

Thanks a lot !!

Carbon

It's an Amphur document with the details/names/dates signed when you married and thus recorded on your Thai Marriage certificate; you can get a current print out (all original signatures printed in Thai) for around 20 THB from Amphur.

Also known as the marriage registration document?

Kor Ror 3 is the Marriage Certificate.

Kor Ror 2 is the registry entry.

Gotcha, thanks.

Does this have to be done in person, or could a family member collect it. I understand if we married in the last 7 years, we may get it locally, but we are outside that window. It's a 6 hour trip each way otherwise. TIA

They may go back longer now so I would check with local office first - I believe all will be in data base at some point but not sure on that.

Suspect person concerned would have to obtain.

Thanks, we'll give that a shot.

If cannot obtain locally, ask if it is possible to have soemone obtain it with a power of attorney. Often that does the trick.

OK I'm struggling to explain this to the other half. Does anyone have a link to it in Thai please?

Thanks Mario, just got in. We aren't on the computer :(

Try if the amphur where you got married will accept a power of attorney, it is just a letter giving permission to someone to obtain a copy for you. With a signed copy of your wife's ID card and clearly identifying the person you authorize to get the copy.

Thanks but SWMBO has decided, as there is a festival at the Wat around the 25th, we are taken her mother, uncle and uncle Tom Cobbly. All of which I pay for the privilege. It's like a Bhuddist version of Mecca. The people from NST like to be home for it.

OK an update. The Amphur we visited are only putting them on the computer when the document is asked for. My wife had to produce her ID, and house book. At least next time we can do it locally.
