Thai Tourist Visa Multi Entry For Uk Citizen

Featured Replies

Hi, all about to leave UK with a friend please advice how many days will he get if he applies for a multi entry tourist visa.He will go Thai consulate in London and has accomadation and money wants 4 moth visit. Please advise no problem as we will go outside Thailand a few times during this period.

Kind Regards

If he goes to a Consulate he can get a 60 day double entry tourist visa for FREE until the end of March. (Birmingham or Hull will turn the application around in about 4-5 days according to recent reports). After 60 days he can either extend for another 30 giving 90 in total, then he would need to go outside the Kingdom and start again, so with a double entry TV he can get nearly six months

Alternatively.if he wants to stay longer than that he can apply for a 1 yr Multi "O" visa which will give 90 days before needing to exit/re-enter the Kingdom to start another 90 day period. (assuming he has someone from Thailand to give a letter to say he is vising them).

There is no such thing as a multi entry tourist visa - they are sold by the number of entries allowed and London will likely only issue single without valid (tickets) showing travel plans. But that should be all that is required as each air entry would get a new 30 day stamp and another tourist visa could easily be obtained from a Thai Consulate in the area if travel is by land (only 15 day visa exempt entry on those). But if only one trip planned a two entry tourist visa would be ideal.

Thanks does that mean he can only leave the Kingdom twice by road say Mae sai,if he goes out with 30 days remaining will he re enter and just get the 15 days?

Each entry of a Tourist Visa will give 60 days and can be extended for a further 30 days at Immigration.

If he leaves the country that entry will be finished. On return he will get another 60 days.

When both his entries are finished he will get 30 days by air and 15 days by land when entering.
