Visa Run

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a UK passport, and will be looking to get the 30-day Visa-on-arrival when landing in Thailand.

If I make a Visa run (over land), to obtain the 15-day re-entry Visa, does it add 15 days to extend the current Visa, or does it just qualify you for 15-days from when you do the Visa run?

So do you have to do the run exactly on the last day of the 30-day Visa to get 45-days in Thailand, or can you do the run at any time during the 30-day Visa to extend it to 45 days?

Thanks for any help!

You would need to go on day 28 or the last day 29, the 15 day stamp will give you 14 days..

As you are not here, why not send you passport to Hull or Birmingham Thai Consulate and get the FREE 60 day Visa [Free Tourist Visa until 31 March 2011] understand the turn around by post is 4 days

You are hoping to get a 30 day Visa Exempt Entry (not VOA) when arriving and intend to stay more than 30 days.

You need a Tourist Visa. This would give you 60 days and can be extended for a further 30 days at Immigration. The Visa is free of charge until March 31st.

Without a Visa you may have problems boarding the flight. You must have a Visa.
