Employment Certificate For Visa

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I am in the process of doing my work permit, and my company has requested me to provide my last employment certificate.

I have contacted my previous employer who promptly made it, but they say it needs a logo and a seal.

My question is :

A) Is it usual for company to require an employment certificate for work permit (I have never seen it mentionned anywhere in the list of documents to provide)?

B/ Under UK law since 2006 UK companies unless "limited" (ltd) are no longer required to have a seal and my ex-company does have a logo or a seal. Also a logo has never proved anything, why would they ask for such specifications and how to diplomatically get out of this tricky situation?

Thank in advance for your help

Never heard of that before, the labor office does not require it to issue a W.P. I have just gone thru the W.P. process.

Sorry my reply disappeared, I will try again. I have never heard of this. I just went thru the W.P. process it is not required by the labor office, but in Thailand company documents do need the company seal. Most foreign companies have no such seal or stamp, only in Thailand and maybe a few other countries is the company stamp needed for any documents.
